JWCC Student Government Elects Officers

The Student Government Association (SGA) of John Wood Community College recently elected officers for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Kannon Dickerman, a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, was elected by JWCC’s student body as the College’s new Student Trustee.  Dickerman is pursuing a degree in accounting and is also the recipient of JWCC’s Presidential Scholarship.

Cole Pracht will serve as president of SGA and is a graduate of Camp Point Central High School. Pracht will attend lineman school after JWCC. He is the recipient of JWCC’s Trail Blazer leadership scholarship.

Travis Duke, a graduate of Liberty High School, was elected as SGA vice president.  He is pursuing a degree in agriculture business management. Duke is a member of JWCC’s Ag Club and a recipient of a Trail Blazer leadership scholarship.

Paige Seals was selected vice president of membership for SGA.  A graduate of Quincy Senior High School, Seals is the recipient of a cheer scholarship and is pursuing a degree in nursing.

Carter Kasparie will serve as secretary for SGA.  He is a graduate of Unity High School, received a JWCC Trail Blazer leadership scholarship and is pursuing a degree in psychology.

Alayna Schmoe, a graduate of Quincy Senior High School, will serve as public relations secretary for SGA. She is a recipient of a JWCC Trail Blazer leadership scholarship and is pursuing a degree in graphic design.


John Wood Community College is the educational link between business and community. JWCC collaboratively creates innovative and relevant academic and training programs with business leaders to educate young people and the workforce for today's needs and tomorrow's opportunities. JWCC has centers in Quincy, Pittsfield, Baylis and Mt. Sterling, Illinois. Programs include a comprehensive baccalaureate transfer curriculum, customized business training, career/technical degrees, certificates, and personal enrichment courses.
